I request that the relevant Queensland Government authorities review and improve road safety on the Captain Cook Highway near Smithfield, including the approaches to major intersections and merging areas. Traffic volumes have increased and congestion is common, which raises the risk of crashes and near misses.

I ask for practical safety improvements such as clearer line marking and signage, better lighting where needed, and a review of speed management and intersection design. The aim is to reduce accidents, improve traffic flow, and make the road safer for families, commuters, tourists, cyclists, and emergency services.
